Nanowires are conducting wires which have very thin diameter (in the order of nanometers). Nanowires are extensively used in electronics circuits especially in embedded systems. Moreover, nanowire batteries are widely used in consumer electronics such as smartphones, tablets, energy generation and remote controller. According to Atlas of Science, the use of metal nanoparticles in manufacturing nanowires have led to the development of better nanowire batteries. The nanowire batteries are used in smartphones, tablets etc so that it can be charged up completely in few minutes. Therefore, there is huge demand for nanowire batteries. Moreover, the increasing demand for compact devices such optoelectronic devices , transistors etc. consists of very small circuits for which nanowires and nanowire batteries are required.
